About Online Travel Africa

Online Travel Africa, (OTA) was born out of the need to democratize access to travel information needed to travel the African continent where information is either non-existent or available in limited quantity. The founders have travelled Africa extensively often engaging in multi-country trips. 

Online Travel Africa (OTA) therefore is a travel hub for both local and international travelers providing up-to-date information, guides and resources at no cost to the public.

Our journey started with budget travels to other countries often in taxis and buses paying US$30-60 to travel between borders, slept in US$30-50 accommodation to maximize spending on activities. We later upgraded to flights and hotels, and in all of our travels the information that we needed had to be sourced from various places instead of one central hub. 

This why we started OTA to provide a central travel hub for Africa to provide our expertise in budget and luxury travel across Africa to you, for free, forever.
